Part of it was because we were so close to knocking off the Patriots in the Super Bowl, and part of it was because of how much heart the Packers showed on the road down 31 - 10 in the third quarter in a real life madden game where your D didn't play like it should have. Kurt Warner had the perfect game, and ARodge matched him step for step except for a few mistakes. Even a die hard Bears fan emailed me, "<span class="Apple-style-span" style=" border-collapse: collapse; font-family:sans-serif;font-size:small;">That was one hell of a comeback. Too bad the worst player on the field made the deciding play. It's a shame that Rogers didn't connect on the 1st down play, that WR was as wide open as you can get in the NFL downfield. Maybe a bit more experience will let him throw that with a bit more air where it's a certain catch or pass interference? In the end, Rogers holding onto the ball too long cost the Packers, but the future is bright there, unfortunately (for the bears). I was hoping to see Rogers vs Favre one more time this year. I don't know if Dallas is really that good or has Philly's number, but they look real good on both sides of the ball. Romo still has a case of the yips back there from time to time, he ducks out of throws a lot where someone like Rogers or Warner takes the big hit to make the completion. I do know that there are at least 3 bad teams in the NFL right now. The Browns, Bills, and Cardinals will all probably have "not-so-good-years". The Packers' offensive and defensive starters rolled through them like the 2007 Pats. ARodge has been out of his mind, and this Dom Capers' 3-4 D has only been making plays. He's earned the right to do whatever he wants.<div>Common theory is the Vikings are a legit QB from the Super Bowl. Then they go out and trade for Sage Rosenfels to compete with Tavaris Jackson to start. I think Jackson could be good in a few years, but we know Rosenfels sucks. I put their Madden combo averages to about 82, and I'm being generous. I figure a healthy Favre is a 90, plus what he could add to the locker room. Either or, I think it's possible they could win 12-13 games next year. </div><div><br /></div>BoxStufferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15616414948049537415noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701932665693720052.post-81254437451565789402009-04-22T16:52:00.001-07:002009-04-22T16:57:19.933-07:00Thumbs up, thumbs down.Thumbs up:<div><br /></div><div>Low accord.</div><div><br /></div><div>Thumbs down:</div><div><br /></div><div>Almost getting jumped at the skatepark by a pack of HS kids. </div><div><br /></div><div>Thumbs up:</div><div><br /></div><div>Skating new kicks and a new deck at the same time. </div><div><br /></div><div>Thumbs up:</div><div><br /></div><div>AEM CAI</div>BoxStufferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15616414948049537415noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701932665693720052.post-312409552000766382009-04-17T15:55:00.000-07:002009-04-17T15:58:35.654-07:00Western Conference PlayoffsOnly 2 teams have a shot to beat the Lakers in the West. <div><br /></div><div>Portland</div><div><br /></div><div>and </div><div><br /></div><div>Houston</div>BoxStufferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15616414948049537415noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701932665693720052.post-3047907074436426672008-11-11T18:32:00.000-08:002008-11-12T05:00:02.147-08:00Predictions<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6AGQHtPu2rP0QakmXQKwQrDDTbg6Idy-qZL3IWw0mWMIdQBPiMH7LSlNlym6ha2PK6zsgUnXfwJDepDgIWrb3_ERiX6CyQOhLkdIO-ENBopHOKl0VNCHB3Cr5iZwkCb-jNtT12Kqu1Hlw/s1600-h/NickCollins29918_large.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 202px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6AGQHtPu2rP0QakmXQKwQrDDTbg6Idy-qZL3IWw0mWMIdQBPiMH7LSlNlym6ha2PK6zsgUnXfwJDepDgIWrb3_ERiX6CyQOhLkdIO-ENBopHOKl0VNCHB3Cr5iZwkCb-jNtT12Kqu1Hlw/s320/NickCollins29918_large.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267597078088547250" /></a><br />11-5. It's only 2-0, and it was the Vikings (0-2) and Lions (0-2). Although I didn't expect Aaron Rodgers to play this well. This week will be a good test though. Dallas on national tv on Sunday night. So far he's given no indications he can't handle the pressure, which is partially what worries me. <div><br /></div><div>I thought I'd be watching the two best teams in the nfc last night, but it turns out the best team is still the Giants, and the second might just be the Pack. Both the Eagles and the Cowboys defenses were run up and down against all night. Still it's only week 2, so what do we really know so far?</div><div>We know the Rams, Lions, Bengals, Chiefs and any other 0-2 teams haven't really shown up yet. Not great, but he what he needed to do, and the Packers got the W.<br />Also, I can't ever remember the Packers wearing black shoes, except maybe with a throwback uni. According to <a href="http://www.uniwatchblog.com/">http://www.uniwatchblog.com/</a>, it was the first time they were worn since 1975. It also means every team in the NFC north now wears black shoes. <div><br /></div><div><br /></div>BoxStufferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15616414948049537415noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701932665693720052.post-17116955829258576482008-08-19T16:33:00.000-07:002008-08-19T16:40:52.779-07:00I believe...Tramon "the truth" Williams will be the next great Packer DB. Could've been better, could've been worse. <br /><br />Like I said at work this morning, my big concern was he and Brohm leading the WRs into the receivers.BoxStufferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15616414948049537415noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701932665693720052.post-29658670865312920692008-08-08T15:35:00.000-07:002008-08-08T15:42:28.831-07:00Home and Away<div><br /><br /></div><div></div><br /><br /><br />The Milwaukee J.S. is reporting that Aaron Rodgers fired his agent.<br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUmaszt-eWm4xtBqpvp3yPiUVIt3A6pmEV-w4upJmonwxoVwJwAaPWhVkWWctG6-H4stDEvPqvulzu4fQghoOjKLvxvrCPpRqSwK5lT49IluwcGy_IyOEKfZoJVvhuAQDtg4CknnSfRio0/s1600-h/DickeyAway.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5232279610760600530" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUmaszt-eWm4xtBqpvp3yPiUVIt3A6pmEV-w4upJmonwxoVwJwAaPWhVkWWctG6-H4stDEvPqvulzu4fQghoOjKLvxvrCPpRqSwK5lT49IluwcGy_IyOEKfZoJVvhuAQDtg4CknnSfRio0/s320/DickeyAway.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmXDKI0Bi6eAaOTHZLxpjiZNcGqa2U24VMTytlYr9Fe9QoWUUXq0TtlCvtfCeJ8diZcy3mbCgr-g3b9R81f3sjehiLHGMYj5liamX7BevHqr68J9z83AXIKKfm0L3rQTD3-gGLN7BhAK6r/s1600-h/DickeyHome.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5232279413029576098" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmXDKI0Bi6eAaOTHZLxpjiZNcGqa2U24VMTytlYr9Fe9QoWUUXq0TtlCvtfCeJ8diZcy3mbCgr-g3b9R81f3sjehiLHGMYj5liamX7BevHqr68J9z83AXIKKfm0L3rQTD3-gGLN7BhAK6r/s320/DickeyHome.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div><div><br /></div><div></div>BoxStufferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15616414948049537415noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701932665693720052.post-4406204925858661592008-08-05T15:32:00.000-07:002008-08-06T18:29:04.937-07:00No country for old ManNo one is bigger than the organization. <br /><br />Some things just aren't meant to be. <br /><br />These were the two lessons I re-learned again last night. Either or, I'm stoked to having experienced it.<br /><br />Let's not be too bummed out yet, compared to Rich Campbell, he's light years ahead.<br /><br />Go Pack Go!<br /><br /> <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-Nh3fVh7uZ4TDm0HfZGGm7gcTcNb1mbsJsfIu2Q39kDem0GLP1EGSypyEz4cMd_1jp1cTn5-vDegvvsmSqzZuLCMcUx0pJEuw2Bxhs3ZChzMd07tH4KqR6Qhwf6D9seWsqm7BO9dDIC3y/s1600-h/rally_071408_big.jpg"></a>BoxStufferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15616414948049537415noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701932665693720052.post-18309842545709140142008-07-31T16:50:00.000-07:002008-07-31T18:16:47.643-07:00Lynn Dickey #12Green Bay Packers<br />QB<br />#12<br />1976-1985<br /><br /><a href="http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DickLy00.htm">http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DickLy00.htm</a>BoxStufferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15616414948049537415noreply@blogger.com0
